Still “managing” your snoring issues? While you already know, I’ll say this anyway. Even though you don’t notice your snoring, that special someone sleeping next to you certainly does. And you could be ruining their sleep and health as a result.
But I’m sure she doesn’t let you get away with snoring that easily. Let me guess, does she wake you from your snoring session just to tell you to get your arse on the couch? Or maybe she sleeps in another room, and you suffer from the evil eye in the morning.
Regardless, there is a better way to live! And it all starts with relieving your snoring issues. Trust me, it’s not that hard. You just haven’t found the answer yet. But I’m here today to not only tell you about the best mouthguard for Snoring, but how an older couple has finally started to get some peaceful sleep after years of marriage.
An Unexpected Response: Contacted By A Reader
So about 2 weeks ago, I received an email from a couple in South Carolina. They explained to me how they have been married for many years, “managed” with the husband’s horrendous snoring, and basically accepted that they would sleep in separate rooms as a result.
But then, while at a party they talked to a friend in the medical field and were informed about using a mouthguard for Snoring. Being slightly skeptical, they turned to the internet to gather some more information. And they just so happened to find my ZQuiet review page. Really, that is where the story began.
Obviously I was super excited to hear back from someone who had read about my experience with ZQuiet, so I decided to reach back out to them. My goal was to have a more in depth conversation with them and truly understand there snoring situation, and their experience using the best Anti Snoring Mouthpiece.
The Path To Finding & Using The Best Mouthguard for Snoring: Nancy & Jerry’s Story
So without any further adieu, I’d like to share with you some of the key take aways from my conversation with Nancy and Jerry.
So, can you tell me a little about yourselves?
Nancy: We first met through a mutual friend while living in New York. I have been an elementary school teacher for 30+ years, and Jerry has bounced around the insurance and financial services industry for his entire career. Once the kids moved out of the house we decided to downsize, relocate and ended up moving to South Carolina. This has always been the place where we vacationed, and decided that a warmer, less expensive location would be a sound place to call home as we moved into retirement.
Has Jerry been snoring the whole time you have been together?
Nancy: Yes, Jerry has been snoring as long as I can remember. But the snoring has intensified in the last 4 -5 years. My guess is that it had to do with him starting to pack on some pounds around the waist. (Mainly because of his insatiable craving for cookies. Although I sometimes think that he has really started to take a liking to the delicious Southern food in South Carolina.) And that’s really when the snoring peaked.
Have you used any remedies, devices or mouthguard for Snoring to relieve Jerry’s snoring issues?
Jerry: Yes. I have tried different breathing strips, as well as strips applied to the tongue. But for whatever reason, I just never really took the snoring “solution” seriously and thought that it was just an inevitable part of life. Maybe Nancy would disagree.
Nancy: You got that right!
Did any of the strips work?
Nancy: None of them worked. We gave the strips a shot for a few nights, but after ZERO results, we called it quits.
How has Jerry’s snoring impacted your sleep and relationship?
Nancy: The snoring kept me awake on a regular basis. Jerry finally began to sleep in the guest room! Meaning, I kicked him out of the bedroom and made sure that he was far enough away that I couldn’t hear the rumbling. And that really took a toll on our relationship.
Not that we are THAT old, but when you get into your later 50’s, you really need companionship. And when you send your spouse off to the other room to sleep, it makes you feel bad inside. It’s not like you just fall asleep in different rooms, but you lose all of the night time routines that you do together — like talking, watching TV, or reading books. That’s because we were getting ready for bed, and then going our separate ways…
How did you find out about ZQuiet?
Nancy: About 3 months ago, we went to a party at a friends house. Of course, being a bunch of 50 somethings all gathered together, we just so happened to talk about habits, health, etc. And of course, to poke fun at Jerry, I mentioned his snoring issues.
That’s when a friend in the medical field really took it to heart and struck up a conversation with us about how there are really easy ways to relieve snoring. He was sure that we didn’t have to go on living the way we were. Among a few of his recommendations — like losing weight, exercise and cutting out alcohol — he told us about an easy solution. That, of course, was a mouthguard for Snoring.
Although I couldn’t recall if he gave us any specific suggestions for mouthpieces, we decided that it would be beneficial to give it its due diligence. So, we began researching these anti snoring mouthpiece online and basically stumbled upon the ZQuiet review on the bestsnoringmouthpiece.com.
What intrigued you about ZQuiet?
Jerry: The product really seemed to be easy to use, and the reviews were great. Plus, there was a 30-day trial. So we figured, “what the heck?” And that’s how we started out, by signing up for the 30-day trial.
And when did you buy ZQuiet?
Jerry: About a month ago. (September 2014)
How has it worked for Jerry?
Nancy: Quite honestly, we didn’t see a lot of results the first few nights. Although the snoring noise was reduced a little bit, it could just have been that the mouthpiece was acting as a muffler. The second night, Jerry figured to try out the Comfort System 2 mouthpiece, but after popping that in, it was noticeably uncomfortable. So, he decided to stick it out with the Comfort System 1 mouthpiece.
And wow, are we glad that we pushed through the first few nights. Within a week or so, it seemed that something clicked and the snoring was pretty much gone! We aren’t sure what it was, but Jerry seems to think that the tissue in his throat got acclimated to the mouthpiece and that’s when it really started to prove effective. Since then, it has done nothing but work. Not only that, but Jerry no longer sleeps in the guest room. As for me, I have been able to sleep through the night for the first time in years, while sleeping next to Jerry!
Are there any cons to using this ZQuiet mouthguard for Snoring?
Nancy: Jerry, why don’t you handle this question.
Jerry: It would certainly be the comfort level.
For anybody out there looking to use a mouthguard for Snoring, don’t think that you are going to find it immediately comfortable. While ZQuiet may be one of the most comfortable anti snoring mouthpiece out there, the fact of the matter is that you will be sticking a foreign object in your mouth and sleeping with it. Not really a pleasant thing, no matter how you slice it. But give it a few days, maybe even a few weeks to get used to it. By then, it will break in and you will not only find it to be more comfortable, but it will take care of your snoring issues.
How has it changed your life?
Jerry: We are both well rested and able to sleep together. I didn’t realize it, but snoring really takes away from your sleep. Since using ZQuiet, we both feel more well-rested. For Nance, that’s no doubt because she CAN ACTUALLY SLEEP NOW.
Not to mention, we are able to have our nights together. We don’t have to go our separate ways anymore, and find that translating into a better connection throughout the day. And boy, did I hate that futon in the guest room.
Would you recommend this product to friends and relatives?
Nancy: Yes. We already have. All the teachers at school know about it, and I have strongly encouraged them to check it out. Now it just seems like something in the past that we dealt with, and we feel obligated to share our success story and help those going through what we went through.
Thank you Nancy and Jerry for taking the time to speak with me today. And if I haven’t noted everything clearly and concisely, I hope to clear things up with the video recording of our Skype conversation. So stay tuned for that!
Taking The Next Steps: Create Your Own “Nancy & Jerry” Story
Well, there you have it. Straight from the mouths of some new ZQuiet users. If you would like to read my ZQuiet review that Nancy and Jerry referred to, just click here.
Here’s a little tip of advice though: if you are interested in relieving your snoring with ZQuiet, go direct to their Official Website. Although I haven’t found any other places to buy ZQuiet, you will probably want to just avoid any 3rd parties. That’s because there are lots of “imitations” with these types of devices.
Plus, you should really just take ZQuiet up on their 30-day free trial. No sense in paying for something in advance, especially when you can get a free 30-days to try it out first. Who knows, maybe you won’t like it. But if you are like the 90%+ of people out there, not only will you like it, but it will become second nature like brushing your teeth before bed.
Last but not least, if you have an exciting story like Nancy and Jerry, don’t hesitate to write me. You can easily reach out to me through my Contact Page and I’d love to hear from you! Maybe I’ll even dedicate a page to your review as well!
